Newsletter
The SVAS Observer is the official newsletter of the Sacramento Valley Astronomical Society. You can find information on upcoming club activities, special events, and articles related to astronomy in general. The SVAS currently releases an email version of our newsletter each month, which is delivered directly to members’ email boxes. The articles of each email newsletter can be found here. Click on an article to view it. The traditional PDF version (”Classic Observer”) is also still published every other month, with the same articles as the e-edition but with graphics and an astronomy calendar at the end with moon phases, oppositions and the occasional occultation.
In accordance with Title 17 U.S.C. section 107, copyrighted materials on this site & in our publications are displayed solely for non-profit research and educational purposes.
Articles: Except for individually copyrighted stories, permission is granted to other amateur astronomy organizations to reproduce in whole or in part for internal non-profit use, provided credit is given to the SVAS Observer and to authors of the reproduced materials.
Submit articles: Manuscripts and letters from members are welcome via email in Word or text format. Items may be emailed to the editor at lyndahall@surewest.net.
